iTunes Extends Song Samples

iTunesFrom 30 seconds to 90 seconds, Apple is extending song samples in the U.S. iTunes store.

Longer song samples appear to be what consumer’s want and is a key factor when purchasing music on-line as reported by MacNews.

AppleInsider further reports that the extension will only apply to songs that are longer than 2 minutes and 30 seconds. Songs shorter than that will continue to use the 30 second sample format.

It’s not clear as of yet if this will eventually be the norm for the U.K. iTunes store.

Tomorrow’s Just Another Day…

iTunes and The BeatlesWith the amount of rumors flying it seems almost certain that Apple will announce that the Beatles have come to iTunes. TechCrunch and MacRumors both have interesting posts on this. Twitter has been, well, Twitter-pated about it all day.

It all makes sense to me that iTunes would have the Beatles and just before the major holiday buying season is on. I guess we only have to wait a few more hours to find out. Then Twitter will visit the Fail Whale with all the buzz, I mean Twitter-pation…
