Meet Alfred

AlfredSay hello to Alfred. Everything we do on our Mac revolves around a personal "workflow", or how we get things done. Alfred is a productivity application for the Mac.

Alfred was created by Running with Crayons and you can find information about the application here.

For an overview of what Alfred can do for you and your workflow, visit our friends at Macgasm. Susan Pigott has written a post that just about covers it all, from the base application to the additional "power pack" that you can purchase.

Customize the Finder Sidebar

FinderOver at Cult of Mac they’ve posted a “how-to” on customizing your Mac’s Finder sidebar. It’s tip #44 from their 100 tips.

Today they look at the sidebar to the left. It’s the place for shortcuts to various locations on your Mac. You can put folders, drives or volumes that you want  access to from everywhere.

Since they are in the sidebar, you’ll always have them close to hand, no matter what folder you’re looking at in the main window.
