Sparrow Lite

Sparrow_LiteSparrow Lite makes its debut in the Mac App Store.

Sparrow is “The New Mail for Mac”. Cult of Mac has a really short post about the release. Sparrow is a minimalistic Gmail client for the Mac. It looks a lot like a Twitter client on the surface.

The free Lite version allows you to use one Gmail account but you can see if Sparrow is a mail client that you can use. I use the full version of Sparrow and I love it. I’m looking forward to the implementation of IMAP which is currently being tested for the next release.

You can find out more about Sparrow at the Sparrow Blog.

MindNode

MindNodeMindNode version 1.5.1 for the iPhone and iPad is out. Over at Macworld they’ve posted a short review.

Both my wife and myself use MindNode for Mac, the desktop application. It is a fantastic app for getting your thoughts and ideas in order. Whether it’s for an upcoming screencast or webinar broadcast this is a lifesaver and timesaver for both of us. I can see that we will quickly be adding MindNode for our mobile devices to extend our brainstorming to the next level.

Snippets text macro option for the Mac

SnippetsWelcome Snippets, from Conceited Software, a new text marco application for Mac users.

TUAW has provided us with a review of Snippets and compare it to TextExpander, which you may have heard of. Snippets is by far cheaper weighing in at only $5.00. But it also lacks some features that TextExpander has.

At $5, its worth looking at. See the review and decide for yourself.
