First a few words about our screencaster in this particular series (Editor: with his Brit accent – sorry could not resist :) ) Karn Broad of Sussex Guitar Teacher. If you are in the Sussex area and wish some guitar tuition or you need an audio engineer then look him up ;)
Karn has been involved in music one way or another for about 20 years. From starting on the Atari running Steinberg’s Pro24 and Notator (the forerunner to Emagic’s Logic eventually bought by Apple) and setting up many a midi studio based on those or Cubase, he moved to running Apple Macs with a Powermac 7100 running system 6 when Cubase VST first emerged (Cubase VST was Mac only then).

Having spent many years in retail, 10 of them as retail manager and studio equipment specialist for GAK (www.gak.co.uk), and the last 8 to 10 years as a session player and audio engineer he has as much experience in getting the most from whatever system is put in front of him.

15 years ago, GarageBand’s flexibility and power was almost unthinkable from a single piece of software, now every Mac shipped has it installed ready to go! Make the most of one of Karn’s favourite pieces of music writing software with this series of screencasts!
